This makes me feel glad. It reinforced what I already believed.

This makes me feel false.

Basically I think Pauls voice is a false sense to speak about the historical conflict between jews and muslims as he has no full experience of either culture and does not know the full story as his relatives do not have experience of this conflict and no-one knows the full history. He also may not have experienced much of this conflict as he appears to look very much like a typical british christian.

Religion separates ...spirituality unites ..As long as adherents to book-based religions claim exclusivity ,and one's right ,the other is wrong ;and find passages in their texts to interpret erroneosly ,and justify anything less than compassionate behaviour & thinking ..then they will never find peace ..Focus on the spiritual self first ,and everything changes

We can and we must be able to live with each other regardless of our religion. I do fully agree with Mr P.S. Armstrong. Religious differences are tools that politicians and fanatics use for their own purpose. Many ignorant people fall into their trap. In my opinion education is the key but of course this does fit their agenda.

yes, people in all faith can live in peace together as long as they are tolerant of each other and do not impose or force their own believe onto another person. each and everyone of us are different, we look different, we dress different, we have different lives, we believe in different things, that's what makes us individuals. so i don't understand why people want use religion to change that and sometimes use it such cruel ways to do it. this can have a backlash and force people away from the religion they are trying to recruit/reinforce. live and let live.

Imane 02 Jan 2011 18:37

We should all respect others beliefs, concentrating on things in common as Paul pointed out in his presentation, not arguing about the differences. True believers and practicants of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, can live in peace together.

This is ridiculous. Of course race shouldn't matter in adoption! The parent(s) will love that child unconditionally. It will teach society that doesn't matter if you are of a different religion, race, or nationality. Saying whites can't adopt children who are not white, or vice versa is just racist.

Only if they all look and use the freedom of mind that they were all born with.

Humankind needs to wake up to the little-known fact that all the major religions have been created by the the people who have controlled the world secretly for millenia (It sounds preposterous, but then so did Galileo when he suggested the earth was a globe!). They did it to keep us divided and thus to help maintain their control. As a result, we willingly go to war to defend our faiths, and we live in constant fear for our lives and our after-lives. In reality there is no judgemental god - We are part of the universal Godhead and as such we are responsible for our own destiny - both individually and collectively. Until we all know this, we will not be able to break free from the tyranny of religion. Take my advice: Do your research into the hidden origins of the religions You will find it most enlightening.

Sometimes people think that complaining about a situation is the same as doing something about it. It isn't; it's reinforcing the negative. We all have a choice: we choose peace or we choose war with every word we speak. Paul is choosing peace. Way-to-go Paul! We can all learn something from that.
If we all said 'I will choose peace; I will choose to allow you your beliefs' we come closer to surrendering to God/Allah than if we choose to see others as wrong.
"If the believer understood the meaning of the saying ˜the colour of the water is the colour of the receptacle,' he would admit the validity of all beliefs and he would recognise God in every form and every object of faith." Ibn Arabi.

Paul makes some great points and i fully agree with him .

Jews and Christians are brothers to Muslims plus according to Islamic law Islam accepts Jews and Christians as instant citizens and are granted protection and freedom to worship and also practice their own laws.

Peace and unity to all mankind is the key to a successful and healthy society.

O People of the Book!{ Jews and Christians } Let us rally to a common formula to be binding on both us and you: That we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than God. ( Al Quran -Surat Al 'Imran, 64)

Rob 07 Jan 2011 11:35

This makes me feel happy.

All these comments may prove the lack of understanding of the Koran and what it says about peace with Jews and Christians - read the following there is many more .... then make your mind up!

The Koran (5, 51) ordered
"o ye who believe ! Take not the Jews and Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them..Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk "
SO MUSLIMS CAN NEVER BE AT PEACE WITH ANY OTHER RELIGION!

Surah - "9.30" talks about Muslims killing Jews/Christians if they do not believe / "8.39 speaks bout fighting with anyone until they beleive in Islam alone.
"9.123" : O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evi ).

D.Nusrani 09 Jan 2011 22:09

There can be no peace between jews and muslims. because Quraan does not allow muslims to establish any friendship with jews and christians.
Since Mr. Paul is a convert, he has roots in christianity which teaches to love thy enemies. However it is his wishful desire.

This makes me feel glad.

I am a muslim and i tottaly agree with this, no matter what the Quran or the Torah says it does not any where say hate and kill the other religions its a sin in both religions yet they both do it? and also to eacht other. I belive that Muslims and Jews can be civil freinds just like i may be to many of my Jewish freinds. Both religions are looking for what the call peace but they seem to be lost in the way of finding peace.Your telling me the meaning of life is to fight to land ? why not just share it like a civil human not a animal.Killing young lifes for what innocent reason ? I am a muslim just waiting for the day when i hear "Jews and Muslims have found peace" Thankyou.

Although I think his interpretation of Islam is wrong I still wish more people would interpret it this way.

bablu 14 Jan 2011 18:46

I beleive that there should be live events to talk about all of the similarities between Islam and Judaism. This could go along way to create freindship between muslims and jews worldwide. We also need literature about all of the similarities between jews and muslims, to be sold world wide.
