Why not?
God never decreed that only men can be spiritual leaders.
Total bullshit! Guru Nanak said that woman give birth to kings. He didn't say they could ever be kings.Just saying that woman aren't bad doesn't really exalt them, sorry to say. That line is not really up to par with modern standards of equality. And what is the comment about women being excluded from "other faiths?" Name one member of any Sikh institution who is female? Name a Gurdwara aside from Dukh Niwaran Sahib in Ludhiana that has women kirtanis? this guy is a fool. Women have almost no place in Sikhism except for Nanak thanking them for giving birth to men greater than themselves. What a deceitful piece of internet rubbish.
Sikh women fought alongside sikh men during the time of Guru Gobind Singhji, Mai Bhago was a female warrior who has a gurudwara commemorating her. My local gurudwara in West Bromwich has had a number of women on it's parabandak committee. Wider south asian society has often relegated women to a lower status but that is nothing to do with the sikh faith.
