More reason to be a humanist (archived) 20 Oct 2010 14:24

I think tonight's broadcadst was the best possible advert for athiesm ever! Should a woman be prime minister? If woman stayed at home the world and church would be stable! Any thought to if your husband died or ran off with another woman? Or you were unable to have children should you just sit at home and clean and cook! Sorry couldn't believe what I was hearing! Feminism forever! (archived) 20 Oct 2010 17:30

a perfect of example which illustrates how religion is a social construction aimed at upholding the needs and ideas of those in power, i.e men! What a load of crap, that man makes me sick! I don't understand how people can be brainwashed like this in today's society! [Comment originally left on Channel4.com on 06/09/10 at 20:01]

Well...I really don't agree with this man, who is stuck in his own old fashioned ways, actually I find him quite sexist. We live in a modern world now where men and women can do as they please, if a woman wants to preach in church I think she should be able to do so! And no man should tell her otherwise weather that man is the self-proclaimed bible reader? What makes him so much better for the job hmmm? Not that I am saying women are better than men just I think both deserve equal opportunities. [Comment originally left on channel4.com on 06/09/10 at 20:24]

Outrageous! Thank God that CofE congregation numbers are dwindling if this is the ridiculous tripe they are churning out. [Comment originally left on Channel4.com on 06/09/10 at 21:04]

I read others views but they seem not to understand that it is not our church but God's and he directs how it is to be organised. He has given us the Bible so we know what he wants. It is quite clear that women are not to teach no matter in what century we live in
