What a load of tripe. The false belief they have, merely activates the subconscious mind into doing what the subconscious mind can do if prompted correctly.

The dangers of 'Faith Healing' should not be underestimated! I do hope eventually that empiricism and solid science will out and once and for all we can leave behind the ignorance and need for religious belief that is a product of earlier human history when we did not understand.........Dawkins has these charlatans nailed!

The claims of this man are plainly ludicrous and dangerous and I am concerned Channel 4 are flippantly allowing such material onto their programming schedule under an air of ‘reflective programming’. He offers absolutely no evidence of his magical claims, he just expects us to take his word for it with ridiculous anecdotal claims like “a couple in Bristol…” and magical kidneys as if that is going to impress us! I’m sorry mister but if you are going to try and promote a treatment greater and more powerful than that of current scientific based medicine, you better be able to back it up with EVIDENCE! Yes, that word again EVIDENCE. As in positive results obtained under tightly controlled test conditions, repeatable and demonstrable to others and published in peer reviewed respected scientific journals.

Personal stories and hearsay are always considered unreliable and NEVER, EVER regarded as evidence as people are far too prone to their own confirmation biases, irrationalities, agendas, omission of important details and fatally flawed thinking, some much more than the rest of us it seems.

I suggest you take on the James Randi $1 million challenge. For the last decade or so, James Randi has offered a $1 million fund for anyone who can demonstrate supernatural effects. The test will take place under strict double blind conditions agreed beforehand between both the claimant and the James Randi foundation. Needless to say, after many applications and tests (which you can read and see on his website and which sadden and amuse in equal measures) no one has been able to claim the prize.

I am amazed that this was broadcast. Faith healers are responsible for death and suffering through the lies they promote, as they lead people away from treatment that could actually work; giving any of these charlatans a platform makes you responsible too. Anyone involved in deciding to broadcast this should be ashamed.

I used to go to church and believed that God can perform miracles but now i'm not sure anymore. There are so many corrupt churches out there that are brainwashing people and twisting things in the Bible that I am not sure what is true and what isn't. Nearly every lively church I went to played emotional music as the pastor preached, which got everyone into a kind of hypnotic like state and open to the power of suggestions. If there is a healing, then maybe that person was somehow able to activate a part of their brain which was able to do something extraordinary. It seems unfair that God would heal one person and not another when according to my understanding of the bible, he is "no respecter of persons". I think there is a lot to be said for the human mind which can enable it to do powerful and miraculous things, it's just finding a way of tapping into it. I'm not in anyway saying that can't heal, but I'd like to see the evidence rather than just hear testimonies.

I do not doubt as to what this pastor is saying,but ask you to read the scipture matt 7 v 22-23.
God is not using this avenue of healing in our time ,this act was performed throughout the scriptures and ended with the 1st century christians ,who were also the guardians of Gods word,but now since they are no longer with us it is just as jesus said would happen in scripture 2peter 2 v 1 to 2 the truth would be lost that is until the time of the end ,the bible calls the last days daniel 12 v 8 to 10 ,
And matt 7 v 22 says many will to me ,did we not expel demonsand perform works in your name,yet jesus confesses he never knew them and called them lawless.
The physical healing of mankind is in the future and what adam lost in paradise will be restored rev 22v2 and rev 21 v 3-4

Wheel in a quadrupale Amputee. This amputee has to be a devote believer in god. We wouldn't want a lack of faith used as an excuse! The more extreme the belief the better. Both arms missing and both legs missing. Let's see ANY faith healer grow those limbs back.
I would bet my house and all my possesions on there being a negative outcome.I would even bet my life on it. I would believe in god instantly and proclaim my conversion live on tv for all the world to see, if this miracle happened and I bet millions more would to!
This practice is nothing more than charlatans praying on the weak, poor and un-educated. It is disgusting.

So the question is simple:

Why wont god heal amputees?

bernard ,the error of our foreparents is a dna error ,gene imperfection, which adam and eve brought on by their disobediance to the only command to abstain from eating or touching the forbidden tree,they were warned of the consequences in that they would die ,unfortunately they did not produce any children before the act ,so any children born after, inherited the death sentence,so from the day we are born we are dying,
have you inherited a bad gene from your parents?
it is the best logical answer and solution to mans problems,

I was treated for nine years for an angina.And for nine years I have duly taken my tablets. But one day after a really in depth checkup I was told that the original diagnosis was wrong and suddenly and miracously I was cured.

Read the Abraham and Isaac account in the bible,
And the fact the bible is themost widely distributed book in the world,it has survived every attack which power,talent ,and eloquence has ever made on it,
The bible has always survived,
Man has no excuse to deny the existence of God ,his son Jesus said about the bible, "your word is truth" (john 17v17)
The bible is a loving letter to you and I to equip us with insight to his purpose and plans for the future

this is due to your own blocked energy, due to negative thinking or negative energy. with your own energy, you can unblock this energy yourself, or someone else can do it for you, not a anythink complicated, just a natural way of healing.

And a challenge of who's way of ruling was best Gods or Satans .
So since mans beginning Satan has been controlling mankind and the spirit of this world definitely reflects that , with all the wars disease crime schisms , a ruining of the earth,
Satan challenged Gods sovereignty Adam and eve took sides with Satan ,of course they regret what they had done ,
And the challenge is nearly coming to a close ,and mankinds suffering will soon be over,
And the question will be universally answered who has the right to rule .
If God has the key to sustain man so he may never die ,never to grow old , satisfy the desire of all his family,
These thousands of years of mans turbulent history was required , was done in a just way and will never be called into question again , ......to be continued

There are many things you highlighted about religion and I totally agree with you ,
Apart from saying we are against science ,I'm all for science and it's new achievements ,but mankind is still on a downhill spiral ,and with all modern technologies ,can't solve famine, cannot end wars, crime still on the increase,cure one disease another more deadly one arises ,science is still in the bronze age when it comes to solving mans serious issues.
Can science prevent tsunamis earthquakes,sort the economy out ,
You can put your trust in man if you like .But I prefer and trust the greatest scientist of all time who prophesised the future for mankind and so far not one word has failed.
But man he has created nothing but animosity , divisions , etc ,and yes religion has played it's part with countless wars ,misrepresenting the God of the bible,Intepreting it for their own selfish gain ,
