The church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints is the true church of god.

It reinforced what I already believed.

This programme reinforced that mormonism gives us the opportunity to follow and practice the teachings of Jesus Christ in the purest of ways.
our belief in baptisms for the dead gives our posterity the opportunity to share in eternal life, which is our saviours gift to all mankind through his atonement.

I'm impresses by Richard's remarks on how the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has influenced his life in a wonderful way. We join with other Christian faiths in declaring that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world and that His influence blesses our lives here and now as well as in the future. The Church helps us, as Richard has discussed tonight, to overcome the trials of life we all face in some way or another. It strengthens marriages and the family unit. I'm amazed at how little has been said about the main doctrines of the Church in these programmes.... I appreciate they are only a couple of minutes long and so it's difficult to do. The thing which distinguishes the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that we believe in modern revelation.... that God continues to guide us as he did at the time of Moses, Abraham and all the other prophets. After His death and resurrection this revelation contined with the Apostles and Paul etc, until they were all killed. The Gospel was restored to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. Christ is at the head of His Church today, and guides us through a living prophet and 12 Apostles as He did when he was personally on the earth. He has restored the same organisation with the same authority of the Priesthood he gave to his Apostles in His day. It is this direction through these 'special witnesses' of Christ, along with the direction we receive as we study the scriptures, and prayer that we receive answers for our problems today. Millions around the world have found out for themselves that this is true and their lives have been changed for the better because of it. I know Christ lives. I know He's still guiding us through a living prophet and the 12 Apostles today. The Gospel does change lives, as it did for Richard. Family life is enriched as we put its prionciples into our lives. This makes me feel glad, happy and humbled. It reinforced what I already believed.

This video reminds me that I need to more often turn to Heavenly Father when I am in need and recognise his hand when he has helped me out in my own life.

Hi Richard, thank you for your honesty. I thought you were brave to say the things you said. We are all human beings, and we all have things that we've done wrong in the past, that once we know through Christ's teachings we can repent and be forgiven of those sins and we choose then instead to live His commandments, we can be freed from those wrong-doings. I'm glad that you have chosen to turn away from a lifestyle that wasn't giving you the long lasting happiness you were searching for. I'm glad that you have found through the teachings of Jesus Christ a way to be happy forever. I know what you mean about always having a prayer in your heart, and I too know that the power of prayer can go beyond the person who's praying, that praying for other people really works. Jesus Christ truly gives us hope in all our trials and circumstances we may find ourselves in. Thank you for sharing your experience with the public.

It helped me understand the speaker's point of view.

However, I don't really think the question used in the title was answered at all. I am an atheist and see all religions, including mormonism, as equally untrue. But I recognise that faith is important to many people. I was rather hoping for some insight into why the speaker has chosen mormonism over other religions because it strikes me as one of the less dangerous religions, largely because of the stronger emphasis on personal revelation.
