What could posibly be more beautiful than a mum breast feading her baby only a very sick society would see anything sexual in what is and should always be so natural an act.
Thats disgusting. Cover up and have some respect for yourself. No one wants to see your breasts on tv
Refreshing common sense. Fantastic. I want Rosie for Prime Minister;)
Love it well done Rosie, I am stil breast feeding my little girl. Its what breasts are therefore! Its human perversion that people are only happy to see breasts on page 3 etc rather than nurishing a child! Its so annoying though I am pretty good at letting it wash right over me when people look in discust.
Superb stuff, Rosie! Good old common sense. Breastfeeding is the biologically normal way to feed our babies. Nowt wrong with it and nowt to be ashamed of! X
Yay! Fantastic! How is it appropriate to see page 3, and scantily clad women and girls roaming the streets, but not an accidental flash of skin while modestly breastfeeding? In many societies around the world, breasts are frequently on show, and people think the obsession with breasts as sex objects is strange. In my opinion, breasts for breastfeeding is biological behavior, while breasts for sex is social/learned behavior, otherwise all cultures would find breasts sexual.
Nicely spoken Rosie. Lovely to hear your thoughts and to see you nursing your beautiful daughter. I agree we need to stand up and be counted. Fight this one for our daughters so they don't have to.
Great video.. Well done to you Rosie for feeding your little girls the way nature intended. If only more people saw it this way! Hope that this video reaches out to lots of people :)
Well said Rosie, I certainly want my daughters to grow up to see the different shades of normal, and that our breasts are here to nurture our children as nature intended. :)
I love what she said about wanting her children to grow up seeing it as normal. That's what it's all about. I also agree that the air brushed sexualized images of nudity are what is damaging our society, not the flash of skin seen when a child is doing what is biologically normal.
Well said! I stopped breastfeeding my eldest in public when he was only 9 months old because of the odd looks we used to get. I have a lot more confidence now and still happily breastfeed my third son (17 months) wherever and whenever he needs it. I agree that the only way to really boost breastfeeding is to normalise it. Get the soaps showing happy breastfeeding relationships!
They're only breasts! If you don't want to see someone breastfeeding, it's easy to just NOT LOOK!
Thanks for making this Rosie. As a mum still breastfeeding her three year old in secret I applaud you. I just don't want to have the awkward conversation with even closest friends who think it's bonkers. We both love having some time at night after a hectic day at work with my daughter for her Mummy Milk and it is indeed the entire reason we have breasts!
Rosie Jennings
Weird thing is didn't notice you were feeding whilst talking till read some of the other comments and watched the clip again.
Apologies for being so dozy.
Good clip, plenty to think about.
Cute kids Rosie and so well behaved in front of the camera.
She really expresses herself beautifully. She make a particularly good point about the harm of bombarding our children with airbrushed and over-sexualized images, and never letting them see what real people look like.
I can't understand anyone thumbing this down! Yes breastfeeding is not sexual - there is no reason why it cannot be public - public porn is damaging if you wish to suggest anything like that - I note that you say IF you believe in God - of course God does not exist, all our morals are social in nature and if we have a taboo,it should not be because "God says...."...which is highly ignorant.
If only this video gave you the true story behind Rosie and her extreme views on breastfeeding.
Loved this piece. I breastfed my daughter in public and felt proud to do so. Striking that we need to rescue our humanity from the commodifiers, the fearful, but do keep on with the good fight.
Thank you so much Rosie, none of us would be here if it wasn't for breastfeeding. How on earth can it be permitted to advertise formula feeds, when there is no specific advertising for one of the most significant health benefits. Women consistently (I am a midwife) fear social responses to breastfeeding, and sadly they also have concerns that their breasts 'belong' to their partners. It is all so distorted by the media. So well done Rosie, breastfeeding is the best way to feed a baby, and is TOTALLY NORMAL!
Well done Rosie, Princess Tootee would be very proud of you

I absolutely agree with Rosie that we need to teach our children what normal women look like. With regard to breast feeding ITS WHY WOMEN HAVE BREASTS!
Couldnt care less weather a women wants to get there boobs out to breastfeed in public, but that does not take away any other persons right to look, talk about it or not be happy about it happening on premises they own. (Cafe etc)
I think breast feeding in public is disgusting, I'm 23 I am not ashamed
Of my body nor am I against people choosing to do this in the
Comfort of their homes however I don't agree in public
I think it makes you awfully uncomfortable when someone on a hairdressers
Or on the bus starts to breast feed And I'm really not a body conscious self conscious
Person but when I have children I certainly will be bottle feeding
It may be natural but there is no needs to do it in modern society children not
Breast fed are equally healthy!! If you choose to do it understand other people don't WAnT TO SEe!
There are plenty of toilets!! And private areas
A well balanced individual at last. Nothing wrong with a woman breast feeding in public. What could be more natural? You hardly ever notice anyway, most women are so descrete.
Very well said Rosie!!! There needs to be a cultural shift on the subject of breastfeeding. The most natural thing in the whole wide world. The fact that it is even an issue is a negative reflection of how women are viewed in our society and a drive in the oppression of them.
I'm all for breast feeding but surely her children are too old for it, what nourishment are they really getting at that age?
As an atheist I don't believe in the concept of sin. The human body is nothing to be ashamed of, it is to be celebrated. Breastfeeding is totally natural and anyone who has a problem with it needs to get some therapy.
Wow some naked truth and common sense, wish there was a lot about, nice one Rosie
I dont believe in the Bible its a load of nonsense. Although I do find it unbelieveable the fuss people make about the naked body.
We all have the same bits, what is the problem? People need to understand that wearing clothes is unnatural not the other way round.
If a person wants to walk around naked what is the problem. Like most or probably all things in life the minority spoil life for the majority.
People need to wise up we are all the same, get a life folks, how on earth can a naked body offend?? have you ever seen Brown cords or pinstripe trousers now thats offensive.
i am so proud of my friend for doing this! Rosie is the best advocate 4thought could have chosen! Well done Rose xxx
I fed my daughter until she was 2.5 years old. I always tried to do it somewhere unobtrusive to save other peoples embaressment. It is lovely to see a normal woman feeding her children in the way that is natural but without going on a crusade to try to force everyone to accept that women have the right to breastfeed everywhere with no concern for the feelings of others. There is surely a compromise between the childish reactions of those who say she should put her breasts away and those women who expect to be able to sit bare breasted and feed their 4 year old knowing it makes people uncomfortable. Everyone needs to be considerate of the choices of others.
