Ultimately faith schools will probably never be banned. By stopping children of christian heritage from attending religious schools you are cutting off their ties with their ancestry and stopping them from fully understanding our culture's roots. We are a society built on christian beliefs. If we let that go then we will have nothing left. Our modern culture will be taken over by other religions. Atheism can not win in a fight against religion, we are few against many... as far as I can see.

It helped me understand the speaker's point of view.

Of course it should be, If you just teach science then that'll all they'll believe and will have no morals.

I agree that you should certainly not send your children to a religious school. They need to learn the true facts, namely that they are lumps of animated meat, that morality is nothing but an illusion and a social convention and any sense that they have a transcendaent value as human beings is a comforting little delusion that will help keep them in check to serve the greater needs of society. That is the truth after all.

YES. Lying to children because of your personal "belief" is tantamount to child abuse. By all means teach children about religions and culture etc. but brainwashing them in your faith cult is wrong. Frightening children about eternal damnation is sick.

Yes of course they should be banned, schools are there to give our kids the facts so they can make their own minds up. To present creationism as a credible alternative to science is a step backwards to medievel times.
