Here we go again, would love to know what these values are that you taught. Have you forgotten why the British public kicked you out of Parliament. [Comment originally left on Channel4.com on 25/08/10 at 19:00]

This makes me feel sad. It reinforced what I already believed.

Actions in the old testament taught as objectively moral include stoning to death your son for disrespecting his elders, murdering suckling babies for the crime of having parents who worship the "wrong" god, and of course forcing a rape victim to marry her attacker. So yes, secular schools do lack the moral dimension of biblical morality, and thank goodness for it too!

I don't understand the speaker's point of view at all.

It will only add to children's confusion

I disagree with every sentence Neil Hamilton uttered except for the one where he said he was a pretty useless teacher. I can buy that one. He was a pretty useless politician as well.
He says society lacks a moral dimension and that is to be deplored..... anyone remember why he fell from grace in politics.
Religious hypocrite of the highest order. "Do as I say, not as I do.."

Neil Hamilton saying that indoctrination by (from his experience) the Catholic church would improve society's morality! With supporters like him the argument defaults to the banning of faith schools immediately.

He seems to have forgotten that the Catholic church actively covered up the rape and torture of children for decades.
