This makes me feel angry and sad.
This makes me feel happy. It reinforced what I already believed.
This makes me feel sad.
So very christmassy
Could we have a 'are the teachings of Muhammad relevant for today?'.....don;t think you dare do it as your head will be stuck on a pole by the Muslim believers passing thier verdict on such opinions.
This makes me feel happy. It reinforced what I already believed.
is there to be something similar on Islam it would be much more useful?
This was absolute nonsense - now try to think outside of the box ... please.
This makes me feel angry. I don't understand the speaker's point of view at all.
BIGOTRY, HATRED AGAINST ATHIEST THANKS TO THIS ONE MAN
Completely absurd. Considering that the government preaches peace and political correctness his teachings are very relevant.
This makes me feel offended. I don't understand the speaker's point of view at all.
Aetheism is all well and good - in fact I have doubts myself - but lets remember that aetheism extends to all religion and isn't just confined to christianity.
I wish Channel 4 would be brave enough to extend the same sentiments towards Muslims, Seikhs, Buddhists and so on instead of focussing their semi militant aetheism almost exclusively towards Christ and Christi
I understand the speakers opinion, but it is an ill informed one. Jesus' teachings are not literal and have a deeper meaning to them. I encourage you to read 'A new earth' by Eckhart Tolle, this book will make everything clear.
I don't understand the speaker's point of view at all.
He asked are the teachings of Jesus dangerous?............my answer is "Only if you choose to ignore them"
This makes me feel angry.
Believing in nothing means that you probably haven't got a life containing love, care, trust or any feeling in that matter. If God,Jesus did not exist then how has this world, people, animals been created?!
Congratulations to producers and Ken for having the courage to air realistic observations on the mythology of religion, the delusionary opiate of all Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, and the score or more of other groundless faiths.
I only saw the last minute of the programme, but as a Scene of Crime officer, I believe Jesus taught of God's love for every one of us, and of how we should try to love our neighbour (Anyone we meet each day) Therefore His teaching should cause us to feel loved and valued and to love and respect others, and even put them before ourselves. Much of our societies rules and justice system are based on either the 10 commandments or Christian values, which have served us well, though of course not perfectly because we are only human. Anyway because of these reasons I totally disagree Ken Humphreys opinions that I saw on todays programme.
This makes me feel sad.
To have such a strong opinion on Jesus when you clearly don't believe seems some what unfair . Jesus took me out of addiction violence and self harm and now I live my life according to the word of God which has transformed my life and many other . After you experience God you can not deny his power and presence. Contempt prior to investigation. Truth is Jesus is alive in you in me .
I completely agree with the sunday 19th dec show, Jesus has had his time in the spot light..... but hay, we're living NOW not then, Religion is a directive thats never been updated only proven wrong from every angle. We are evolution, Gods a cushion we've been convinced to cuddle from childhood, nothing more. I belive schools should stop wasting our childrens studdy time and should be withdrawn from studies, I for one dont want my kids taught lies, teach them whats REAL!
It reinforced what I already believed.
I always found it difficult to explain my views and Ken showed me the way. Unfortunately the vicars, priests etc have had years of learning to be able to outwit the common person with non-discript answers.
OMG!!! No pun intended. I can't believe what I just saw and heard on television. I couldn't agree more but am stunned to hear it spoken so bluntly coming from the television. I imagine it has outraged many. Just a shame it can't be explored with more time. The world so needs to be re-educated on this topic, religion in general. Other than from Richard Dawkins, I've never heard anyone with a platform such as TV voice such truths. Maybe we truly are evolving. Linda
This makes me feel sad. I don't understand the speaker's point of view at all.
Jesus is more relevant today than ever..He does not have a "sell by date", but the devil has one. I only caught the last moments of Ken's words and I genuinely feel for him. God gave His only Son to redeem the world..there was no other way. It cost God everything. Jesus died on our behalf, and whether you like it or not Jesus saved us from ourselves (sins). Even you can look at your life Ken and have many regrets...ever the past week... we have all had regrets or (sins) in our lives. Just look at the world it is a mess and needs God to step back in and save us from destroying ourselves and others. Ken, you obviously have a belief in atheism..so you believe is something...everyone believes in something...but Christians believe in the Only one and true saviour...Jesus..Its about love and acceptance and a relationship with our creator...I know Jesus, I love Him and I can spend time with Him whenever..Jesus is the only One who can save us whether you choose to believe or not it is the truth. When you die and leave this earth you will go to one of two places, heaver or hell....I recommend you buy the book "23 minutes in hell" and you will realise what it is going to be like without God forever and ever and ever....hell is real and so is heaven...it is all TRUE...not a fantasy but absolutely true. I am going to pray for you Ken because that is exactly what Jesus would want me to do....peace to you Ken and I hope God breaks down your barriers in Jesus name. If at the end of the day it was a fairy story and I believed and the whole thing wasn't true, at least I have lost nothing..but for someone who bypasses the whole thing as being absolutely untrue then that person has lost everything. This Christmas Ken, open the present...don't let it pass you by. God bless you Linda
Well, it seems to me that following Christian values and the Bible teachings is a good, honest way to live. It can be very restrictive to our human nature though and our selfish 'wants' so people often try to dismiss it all as hogwash in order to eliminate the restrictions! I would say, dismiss the truth and label it a fairy tale if you like. If Christians have it all wrong then on judgement day you can have the last laugh & say we 'missed all the fun' by being good -but if we're right & you chose to ignore the word of God that'll be your loss and your time to explain your choices to the creator. However - as a parent I strongly advise you to be 200% sure before you advise an innocent child that the Bible is just a tale! Face your own judgement for your own decisions - but don't spoil the next generations chances of getting into Heaven because that guilt will be forever yours! Lets face it - if we're wrong they'll have followed good morals and lost nothing but if we're right then your ignorance has cost them eternal happiness!
This makes me feel sad.
I've just listened to Ken Humphreys tirade against the teachings of Jesus and wonder if it has ever occurred to him that these teachings were directed towards all men and women. If we all followed Jesus' teaching of love there would be no need to turn the other cheek as there would be no terrorist bombers endangering us and if we were all prepared to be submissive and humble there would be no wars and no battles of ego which cause the problems in our world today. It saddens me that the One who came into the world to bring peace, peace of heart, peace between all nations, above all peace with God, is rejected and decried as a fraudster. Five minutes ago I watched Mr Humphreys on TV and by the time I switched on my computer I had forgotten his name. Two thousand plus years ago Jesus Christ came to earth, born of a virgin in a stable in Bethlehem as prophesied hundreds of years previously, and His name is still known all round the world, revered by some, blasphemed by others but nonetheless still known. How many will remember Ken Humphreys' name two thousand years from now? Faith in Jesus Christ has changed millions of lives for good - mine included and after 35 years as one who had no time for God followed by 35 years trusting Jesus Christ as my Saviour and following His teachings I think I'm qualified to say a definite "Yes, the teachings of Jesus Christ ARE relevant in the world today"
What are you banging on about you sad man, go away and keep your views to your self. This is the time of year for Christians to celebrate. Why have you been given space on T.V to espouse your anti Christian point of view? You should be more concerned with the Islamic threat in this country, you know those warmongers that want to take over. That religion that with such ideals as feminine castration, Jihad, Paedophilia, death to all infidels and the right to rape infidel women just to name a few. At least Jesus preached goodwill to all men. Christianity has moved with the times where Islam is a barbaric medieval religion with no chance of change. you are banging the wrong drum.
"If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also." doesn't necessarily mean submitting to violence.
In Roman society, you belonged to one of two groups: "men" and "non-men" (including women, children, effeminate men and animals). The ultimate humiliation for a civilian living under occupation is to be labelled as "not a man" by an occupying soldier.
Picture a Roman soldier standing in front of you with a sword in his belt and a shield in his left hand.
To hit you on your right cheek with his right hand, he has to do a sort of backhanded slap. Which is "how you hit a woman / child / dog / gay man".
But to hit you on the left cheek, he needs to give you a proper punch.
So "turning the other cheek" is like saying "you can hit me if you like, but you can't take away my dignity".
Meek? Mild? I don't think so...
since when does reading from a teleprompter in an air-conditioned studio take courage?
I completely agree with Ken, for example:
Matthew 5:39 (New International Version)
39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.
How is this moral? Because I argue that: All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. (Edmund Burke)
This makes me feel angry.
To state himself an antheist whos studies Jesus suggests he has had some form bad Christian experience in his past that has given him reason for a vendetor against Jesus.
Theres plenty of people around who have had a bad Christian experience due to the Christian establishment. In his day Christ was anti establishment and could probably sympithise with him..... i guess he hasnt studied that bit!
I feel so saddened that there are people whose heart's are so hardened. A view like this only shows me that you have never truly experienced the awesome joy, love and peace that can ONLY be found in Jesus. I will pray for you. I believe Jesus is, as relevant today, as He always was and despite your feelings about Him, He loves you because he created you and you are His child.
I just seen this clip of that guy talking about jesus, Now just before i start im a catholic but not a practising one the only time i go to church is when a funreal is taking place. so as you can imagine im not deeply religous. BUT what that guy said makes no sense i have not read the bible but i know enough about it to make a statement on here. religeon of any kind has been a source for much violence & murder but also for much peace & love & for alot of people understanding since the birth of inteligent life.
For me the best way to some a world up without beilief in better things happening would be to imagine a world without hope. beacuse mankind under only mans rule would be a world destroyed as without turning your cheek to violence as the guy on the clip said would be to in other words insight even more wars, death, destruction, violence, abuse and all round more pain than what already exists. which is already far far too much.
I am not a hippy or a vegan. im a young man from a working class estate, ive seen life it all its forms and i can say life is only worth living for the nice things if the world had no hope there would be no point in living at all. THAT clip should be removed straight away as it is a bigoted senseless caveman viewpoint of a man who is clearly more of a animal portraying himself as something wise under the banner of Atheism. ITS WRONG and especially at this time of year is brutal totally dishonest & rude to alot of peoples faith in something better.
THIS person should know better for somebody his age & should look back at that and feel ashamed of himself.
YOURS FAITHFULLY: From a Life Loving Scouser.
Much Love everybody. Have a merry christmas & a rather happy new year.
Keep The Faith!!!!
Just listened to Ken on the TV. While I don't agree with him, I thought he put his point across well. Jesus' teaching, however, did not represent passivity. He wanted those who followed him to end the cycle of violence by not lashing out against those who hurt us. Surely a timely message. The 20th century was the most violent in human history. If we took Jesus' teaching more seriously, perhaps we can avoid going the same way in the 21st.
Ken you are a fool and one day you will find out that Jesus is real and it will be to late for you, and how dare you talk about The King like that all other religion is force Christ is real and you better believe it.
This makes me feel glad.
This has been a long time coming. All religion needs to be exposed for the misleading pack of lies they are. These parasitic church leaders perpetuate the myth that god is some form of saviour, bringer of peace blah blah blah!! and the weak, needy sheep of society hang on every word in the vain hope that life will get better for them if they pay homage and seek forgiveness for daring to have a life on a weekly basis!! its sick!! just look around you! where is your god? the answer is simple if you just open your eyes...... he does not exist... he has never existed... just look at the pain and suffering in the world today.... the evil and greed... natural disasters...Oh!! and priests interfering with children... remember these priests, vicars etc were chosen by your god !!!!! the myth was and always will be a form of control, based on mans general need and desire to be led, that and mans inherent fear of death.. fear fear fear fear fear !!!!! that is what all religion is based on... "do as i say or you will be punished" get a spine, stop looking for excuses to justify your inherent weakness..... just remember that the bible was compiled over thousands of years, edited and deciphered by the catholic church, all in support of there faith, not so much teachings of the faith but what they wanted to teach you!!!!! Thank you Ken.....
I completely agree with Christine and Howard. From what I heard of this partticular speaker's view that's exactly what the this speaker and some respondants to other broadcasts in this series aree doing.
The fact that this was aired does nothing but prove what a Christianaphobic nation we have become. I have no issue with my faith being challenged or scrutinised...it has stood the test of time and opposition and long after Mr Humphries has departed this world it will still stand strong. Men have tried to silence the words of Jesus, empires have attempted to snuff it out and none have succeeded. So I have absolute confidence that this latest attempt will go the same way.
My big issue though is with the media who think it totally acceptable to persistently insult the Christian faith. And maybe it is that we follow the teachings of Jesus in turning the other cheek and blessing those that curse you. But i do challenge channel 4....put out a similar critique of the teachings of the Prophet and see what response you get then!! I doubt you have the guts to do it.
It reinforced what I already believed.
I agree with everything he said. The first honest view I have ever heard on tv!
This makes me feel confused.
I just do not get why this man thinks that he has the right to comment on something he doesnt beleive in.
I do not understand why no one else understands that all religions are myths, created to make sense of the world around us.
Just like Greek mythology and even currently Native American beliefs and Inca religions which the majority consider mythological, they were all once/ still are firmly believed in. Yet we still call them myths.
How is Christianity or any other religion different to those previously mentioned?
As I have mentioned in another post, Native Americans are still being slaughtered today and their beliefs are dying out as a result. Those that have stuck around have become majority.
My heart is not hardened and I am fully aware of how much hate mail I will receive from this post. Most comments beginning with the words "How dare you! I suspect.
I have already read so many comments from Christians suggesting that the speaker takes his critical view elsewhere, preferably targeting a different religion. Hardly Christian of you.
I have nothing wrong with the teachings of Jesus, just that I wish people would take them more onboard rather than focusing all of their time and energy on worshipping ˜ a man in the clouds'.
A refreshing point made by John Nicholson, is that God is "formless, infinite and immaterial. My understanding of this is that God is not a being but a way of being.
Please refer to the Jon Holmes stream for this comment.
This makes me feel humbled.
Christmas is a celebration of Life itself and we choose to argue fuss and fight. Gain Inner Peace thats the key to understanding. Jesus alone changed human into humane. Yet there has always been some thats humane because we are here now, Thank God/Life for that. This transends all our awareness. It is the only trueth. Could someone please fill in the gap in the Jesus Storie though. Age 13 to 29 seems missing.
This makes me feel angry. I don't understand the speaker's point of view at all.
Quite amazing. Put his point across very strongly and Ken has a right to do so. A comment by Claire below also states that all religions are mythes. Ken states Jesus is a Crutch. Brilliant - Jesus is more than a crutch, He is the Rock of Ages, the One who never changes, the only One in whom we can put our trust. Believe what you will about Jesus - it will not make any difference to the Truth - that Jesus is the the "Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Jesus". The reality is that one day (not too long now either!) those who deny Jesus are going to wake up to a horrendous truth - the Bible and Jesus have been real all the time. So why not take time to read through His Word, with an open mind. Ask God to reveal Himself to you as you read ... you have nothing to lose but everything to gain!
While Ken has a right to his view, it is sad that he is so extremely set in a dilusion. Unfortunately as with many folk are of that Jesus is not relevant today, there is coming a day when they will wake up to the reality that He was real all the time.
I have just watched all these shorts - it is really interesting to see how angry the people who don't believe in Jesus seem to be, and how content those who do believe in him are...
So the atheist are angry and while the theists are content, Hmmmm.
The atheists might be revolting - but I have not seen one thinly veiled threat from an atheist. However there are a few from the supposed content theists - who are content to threaten us with eternal hellfire. But this is in no way an indication of anger!
So a request to any theist reading this - Could you Google PASCAL'S WAGER!
This makes me feel happy. It reinforced what I already believed.
i could not disagree more with this person, and could write a book on what is so flawed with this view. this is the type of arrogance that makes me ashamed to be an atheist. the teachings of jesus have undoubtedly impacted our culture and society. for me jesus was significant as a figure who taught a fundamental kindness and humanity. Secondly, his teachings are not at all about submission, look at the period when he was teaching them, he confronted the many wrongs of his time and ultimately was seen as so much of a threat he was killed. also to dismiss nonviolent resistance is just idiotic and further undermined his underdeveloped musings. too many atheists dismiss jesus when we can view his teachings seperate from religion and learn a great deal, as can those who are so inclined to believe in him as the son of god.
This makes me feel angry.
Tolerance has gone too far the other way, you wouldn't say Jews and Muslims are delusional on TV during their biggest cultural celebration of the year, The point of religion is it binds and protects ethnic communities with healthy values. I am a life long atheist but I don't need Ken Humphreys on TV at Christmas telling me Christians are delusional.
This makes me feel sad. It helped me understand the speaker's point of view.
Ken is right that Jesus is dangerous. The Establishment killed Him for what He taught. Loving your enemies is very dangerous. It costs. It brings peace. The more peace there is, the more the Establishment is threatened.
I don't understand the speaker's point of view at all.
what Basis are this mans thoughts and feeling based on? On what does Ken Humphreys base his life, if the teachings of Christ are so dangerous?
This makes me feel confused.
How can intelligent people who you would expect to think things through become so belligerent about proving a negative. It they are right they could state their case calmly and sensibly, but they don't; they rant and rave. Why ? Could it be because they know there is a big question mark over what they believe. In fact they don't believe at all but hope there is a God to prove them wrong. But they will be forgiven as will we all.
I feel that Ken, like a lot of atheists, fails to understand even the most basic concepts of Jesus' teaching. Tony Benn demonstrates an opposite view very well in his short, showing a singular teaching of Jesus that will always be radical because is touches on the the fundamental challenges of the human condition.
I strongly agree with some views expressed here that the atheist shorts and subsequent posts appear to venomous and aggressive. I don't buy that it is simply down to passion. It's easy enough to spot anger or bitterness - not that those things are always misplaced, but given that the religious people posting here are likely to have good intentions, wouldn't it be better to at least adopt a gentler stance?
What a sad waste of a life Mr Humphreys, devoting all your energy writting about a Jesus that you don't believe in. Finding faith in Christ 20 years ago had a profound and positive effect in my life, and has turned me from being a selfish & socially destructive person into a productive and caring husband and father who can put something positive into society, the most important teaching of Christ that has been key in these 20 yrs is to forgive & love those who do you wrong.
As a Born again Christian I obviously don't agree with Ken Humphreys opinion on Jesus. However, I firmly believe in freedom of speech for all. I expect respect for my beliefs so can only respect others for their beleifs. My offence comes with channel 4 for allowing this to be aired at all. Why? Because I know full well that this would not be allowed when it comes to other faiths, particularly Islam, for fear of causing offence. When did it become alright to offend Christians, or are we just easy prey because we don't kick up a fuss. Well, I am kicking up a fuss.
This makes me feel sad.
all i ask of you is one thing... to first imagine a world where no Christians existed at all, Christianity didn't exist, life would be maybe some people say more advanced in technology and I'm sure ken Humphrey would enjoy this world however, imagine the opposite in a world where where everyone is Christian, where everyone new they had a meaning, no one would hurt others, every one would believe in love and helping.
This makes me feel angry.
I am a christian and I think for Ken to say what he did was out of order. I am annoyed that Channel 4 allowed this to be broadcasted. Why don't they get their act together. I am happy to listen to and respect other peoples views on what they believe but the only problem I have is that it was broadcasted on national TV. There are people who have experienced Jesus in their lives and as a result have had their lives changed for the good, set free from drugs addictions, people healed of cancer etc. I spend time in gods presence and as a result of it I find true strenth, joy, peace and fulfillment which no other activity or worldly thing could bring. When Jesus said turn the other cheek he meant you don't get your own back on people who do you wrong. But if someone was carrying out violence then out of love and care for the general public it would be quite acceptable to do what you can to bring them to justice. It is possible to live the way Jesus wants us to live but only in his strenth not our own.
This makes me feel angry, offended and sad.
This makes me feel happy. It reinforced what I already believed.
This makes me feel happy. It reinforced what I already believed.
It reinforced what I already believed.
As an arch atheist, I do not believe in a virgin birth; Mark's gospel, the 1st written mentions nothing re the same nor does he talk about a resurection; I do not believe in that either. These 2 factors are very common in much mythology over the centuries. If these superstitious factors were taken out of Christianity there really is nothing left in which people can believe that is miraculous. This is why religious people need faith as there is no proof of a diety or spirit or spirits ( of any religion come to that ), floating out there in the sky.
This makes me feel glad and happy. It reinforced what I already believed.
I learned something from it.
I feel similarly to Ken, but I think most of the teachings of Jesus are relevant, and still valuable, though copied. Jesus is known by millions, if people believing in him makes them better people, so be it. And I'm an Atheist also!
This makes me feel sad.
Unfortunately this programme is typical of C4. C4 is a platform for anti Christian sentiment, and the ranting of Humphries simply echoes the views of the atheist god dawkins. I am continually astounded at how much venom outspoken atheists seem to have. Why do they feel the need to inflict their beliefs on others, when they profess to not hold such beliefs themselves. Surely they are aware that it is impossible to prove a negative, therefore the atheist position is by default flawed. At least agnostics are honest. C4 typically chooses the Christmas period to try and undermine Christianity, as they usually do with the liberal theologian who did the anti Christian 'specials' on previous Christmas days, which did asmuch for the truth of Christianity as the da vinci code. C4 shows the atheist propaganda just before a 3hour special on the 100 best toys, which is bound to attract younger viewers, and if a true Christian view is allowed it will probably be tucked away at 1.30am sandwiched between the usual filth. No doubt we will be subject to the C4 atheist and muslim seasons in the new year?
This makes me feel angry and sad.
I've never been more appalled or insulted in my life. I think it's disgusting the way channel 4 have only shown one side of this argument. How insulting and condesending to the beliefs of millions of people including myself. I think the director/controller of C4 should be ashamed for showing this biased and one sided programme.
This makes me feel angry.
I think that was completely inappropriate!!! I am not an atheist, nor am I a full believer in Jesus/God... But I like to think that there is someone watching us.. The way that was put across by that man just disgusting... Telling us what we should and should not do... People should be able to choose for themselves, it's not about whether Jesus is passed his sell by date at all - That question should NOT even be contemplated! He is a biblical icon to most of the world, not something you buy on a shelf! Absolutely disgusted with this......
Ken doesn't understand what Jesus is trying to teach us! He gave us a seed and it's up to us to develope that seed. Being angry with everyone throughout life is not a healthy way to function and in todays world there are a lot of angry people. There is no one power just us and it's up to us to be individual and nurturing. Anger brings discontent and war.
The teachings of Jesus are there for us to use and help understand our spiritual path in life.
Everything Jesus said needs to be put into context with the time in which he lived. Striking someone deemed to be of a lower class with the back of the hand was used to assert authority and dominance. If the persecuted person "turned the other cheek," the discipliner was faced with a dilemma. The left hand was used for unclean purposes, so a back-hand strike on the opposite cheek would not be performed. The other alternative would be a slap with the open hand as a challenge or to punch the person, but this was seen as a statement of equality. Thus, by turning the other cheek the persecuted was in effect demanding equality.
This makes me feel angry.
This guy doesn't really seem to know anything at all. Angry at his ignorance.
People who totally bash Jesus can't really make much of an arguement can they? "Love everyone.....how do you do that, thats unselfish" and thats call hes got to bash Jesus with? That his teachings are simple and selfless? And this greek methology stuff, if you look, things like zeitgiest or however you spell it (dyslexic sorry lol) have been totally disproven.
Whats dangerous about everyong loving eachother and not fighting? I think this mans veiw is far more worrying to be frank.
I know this is 2 years old, but, I just wanted to say I am so glad I found this, not because I agree with Kenny's statements, but, because it's good to put a face to a name that I've seen so much online.
For those that don't know, Ken is a lunatic "Atheist", although don't judge him as an Atheist please, judge him as the lunatic he is (I was raised an Atheist, and believe me, I am as far removed from Kenny as the Dalai Lama is from Hitler.
I also feel like I understand him more, he seems to be of the right-wing mentality that you have to be "strong" (and, no doubt "masculine"), he probably admires the brutal Empires of the past - Roman, Greek, British, and the present day American Empire, because they espoused a view of domination (basically, the ancient Hellenes/"Greeks" to use the Roman slave name, Romans, British, Imperialistic Church, and the U.S. under the Republicans believed that they had an absolute right to dominate others, and conquer all in their way (but, they'd be doing the conquered subjects a "favour" by bringing "the Roman way", "the Hellenic civilization", "Jesus", "civilization", "democracy", etc to them!).
Quite frankly, Kenny has read a little too much Nietzsche, and not even the best parts of him (for example, 'he who wishes to hunt monsters should beware he does not become a monster", or "when you stare into the Abyss, the Abyss stares back").
As to whether Jesus teachings are relevant, yes they are, but, unfortunately, they have been manipulated so that those who claimed to "follow" him, and be "Christians" could still hold onto many of the views that Kenny talks about.
The teachings of Jesus are indeed relevant, but, only for those who really put them into practice, just like the Dalai Lama's, The Buddha's, Martin Luther King's, Ghandhi and Tolstoy are all relevant, though sadly, the view that Old Kenny espouses are quite widespread (even among those who consider themselves "Christian"!) and are part of what some call the dominator society
Anyway, I noticed some people in the comments said they felt angry or upset, but, don't feel that way, all Ken is is a victim of the dominator society, he's internalised it, and made it part of him, no wonder he attacks the teachings of Jesus for leading to "weakness", of course, for him, anything that isn't seen as "traditionally" "masculine and strong" is "weak", the Dalai Lama, The Buddha, many Hindu Yogis, Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., and others must have been similarly "weak" as well (and, yet, all those people are who we really should look up too and emulate, instead of TOWIE stars and Big Brother wannabes).
