Well said! Sex education is permissable in Islam.

masturbation is a natural act designed (by the course of natural history) to release bodily fluids(for men), if they are not used during sexual intercourse.

Choudhury sounded quite reasonable on tv, as do some other Muslims who try to justify/explain their religion. Question: WHY are so many Muslims being given so much airtime when the majority of people in this country are sick to the back teeth of Islam? Everyone, especially the Government and other liberal apologists, should read what Julia Gillard (the Australian Prime Minister), has to say about any ethnic minorities who do not wish to share our country's values, but actively seek to destroy all that we know and love. And they're saying so loudly and clearly while the Government does nothing! Islamic hate preachers are rife and constantly recruiting. Why is there Sharia law in this country? Why are ordinary British people having their will to have Islamic fundamentalists removed and deported, subjugated to the 'sensitivities' of Islam? We want our country back and Islamic terrorists deported!

Its a real shame that there are shallow and prejudice people who believe that they have superior rights to others. If you have issues with your government then you need to express your frustrations with them and not attack those who carry a different perspective in life to yours!Attitudes towards sex comes from your view point in life. Schools need to recognise that education regarding sex is not the problem. The issue is regarding the context within which it is taught. When you promote freedom as the basis for anything you will automatically create problems. Its important to realise that not everybody is sensible or cautious and responsible. when you encourage teens to go out and explore, be free to experiment of course problems will occur. Statistics clearly demonstrate this with under age pregnancies, date rape and the general sexualisation of young girls.

It reinforced what I already believed.

He has a fair point but sex education is not meant to tell people what type of relationship they should have, it's designed to tell people how to have safe sex ect. These days teenagers and young people are living in a world where having sex outside of marriage is normal. This just reinforced my view that religion doesn't belong in the 21st century. However I do respect his view.

in this day and age being a gay man when most women also have anal sex i respect the fact he said anal sex and masturbation is wrong. instead of just picking on the homosexuials

This makes me feel angry.

Whilst I understand that channel 4 has more than its fair share of homosexuals and people who masterbate do we realy have to put up with Ashfaque Choudhury making reference to these activities at 7pm before the watershed.

Rubbish. All this talk of Muslim 'purity' is just nonsense. Muslims have anal sex and other kinds of sex just as much as any other people of any other faith. In this current period of so called multi-culturalism in the UK any old claims can be made under the tag of a 'faith'!! Where is the purity in amputation of limbs for stealing among other barbaric acts of punishment under the label of 'faith'??

This makes me feel confused and confused. I don't understand the speaker's point of view at all.

What is this unhealthy obsession religions have with sex?

As-Salāmu `Alaykum, Ashfaque Choudhury Very well said, ballanced with respect to your religion. Unlike other commentaries that they know best and we should all do as they say.I am an Atheist however I do believe we can all learn from each other if we can only stop the bigotry and intolerance
