I agree with you, but a lot of people think it's going to happen next year, and I think that is so sad, I'm not one of them I might add.

I have seen a man saying he is a Satanist and that when the world ends hes looking forward to laughing when God doesn't save others. If the world ends and people die is it caring to laugh? If you believe in Satan, then why not believe ALL the bible speaks about? For example in the bible Jehovah says he will not let the earth come to ruin. Jesus spoke of the last days of "this system of things" and he replied to another with "Satan is ruler of this system" so why does God wait? Who is to blame? Exactly what happened? We can read that not just the earth but all things were made in 6 days, but that doesn't refer to 24hr days, the bible does not often use the term "day" as a literal 24hrs but a period of time. The earth could be millions of years old before man. We do know that the Laws of Biogenesis and Entropy make the evolution theory impossible in accurate science rather than theories. However the bible does refer to evolution but not without creation. We know the fossil records are self evident of dinosaurs by just going to the beach and picking up a fossil, there should be millions of such evidence of man but there isn't. The bible even refers to dinosaurs. In the bible God teaches the nations to use clean practises which other cultures didn't use in that age. The evidence of "lucky" self-formation is seriously lacking compared with the direction in the bible. How did the very elements of the atom come about? The bible sets the standards and if you read it in context its very accurate with correct research its 100% accurate, unfortunately not many will teach it correctly, the trinity and going to heaven are pagan doctrines not biblically founded if you read the whole of the bible. In Matthew it says the good news of the Kingdom will be preached throughout the world and then the end will come. We also know that false religion will fall before that except for those who bear a true witness to God, "for they must know that I am Jehovah" that the end of this system will come quickly and speed up. Check it for yourself, it takes someone willing to learn to learn but you need to responsibily make sure its accurate. I would say to the Satanist that Satan is the founder of all that is bad, his days are numbered. Also, there will be a "resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous". Check what the end of this system means.

Diana sounds like you believe in evolution and the Earth being over six thousand years old.
Am with you though, something will replace our species. Exactly what will depend on the environment and the reason for our demise.

In regards to the fate of Humanity, she is spot on. Most likely the world will end in 3 billion years when the Andromeda Galaxy collides with the Milky Way. If some how our solar system scrapes by, in 3.7 billion years later the Earth will be destroyed by the expansion of the Sun.

Wow! She is a woman of real hope! So, we came from nowhere, are going nowhere, and life has no meaning. How depressing :-((

Really good to hear such a wryly intelligent, 'thinking outside the box' response to this topic. Makes a change from the usual human centric viewpoint! To continue with the 'we're not the only game in town' idea, the past 15-20 years have seen an explosion of scientific knowledge about animal behaviour and intelligence. Take fish - we know more in the past 10 years or so than we ever did: the goldfish memory stereotype; 'fish feel no pain'; 'fish are stupid'.... all these assumptions are quite the opposite and our land-based and underwater Earthlings are far more complex than we could have imagined. We need more debate like this. More importantly, we need to stop treating the planet as if its non-human inhabitants and habitat are a giant McDonald's/Disneyworld made especially for us.
