Condoms offer only 80% protection against transmission of HIV when used consistently and correctly. That means a 20% risk!!! The Pope's job is preach TRUE LOVE and I think to subject someone to 20% risk of HIV is not loving. Women and men can find many ways to beautifully communicate sexually without intercourse if that means safeguarding the one they love. Surely finding alternative expressions of love is the truly loving thing to do.
